Agenda
16:00 – Warm Welcome from Helen
16:05 – Demonstrating value in Wealth Management for a new and multi-generational consumer base
In 2019, HRMC data showed a jump of 33% in millionaires under the age of 30. There are eight billionaires under 30 years old on the Forbes’ World Billionaire List. Technology is transforming younger people’s ability to vault themselves into wealth like never before. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the over-65s have amassed savings, investment and massive spending power. Their needs differ. These two scenarios pose new challenges to Wealth Managers – how do you show value for a new generation and also older and more multi-generational clients? With the ESG agenda rising, how do you steer wealth consumption and investment? How can Open Banking and Finance facilitate this?
Speakers:
- Felicia Meyerowitz Singh, CEO of Akoni
- Helena Wardle, Partner & Chartered Financial Planner, Smith & Wardle
16:25 The future is frictionless: Shaping Wealth Management for tomorrow
This session will focus on technology and collaboration within the Wealth Management sphere. How can Open Finance/Data impact the sector? Options include enabling a single view of wealth portfolios as well as improved consumer experience through conversational technologies such as Siri, Alexa, etc. Not to mention the emergence of digital, crypto and digital inclusion. Fundamentally, this will require the transformation of wealth platforms as well as the advisor and manager ecosystem through new partnerships; what will this look like and where can the sector start making changes?
Speakers:
- Jonathan Master, Partner, Eversheds Sutherland
- Louisa Murray, COO, Railsbank
16:45 Wealth Management, Open Banking and the gender pay gap
Women earn less than men, invest less than men, have less access to finance – yet live longer. These gaps not only negatively impact over half of the population’s quality of life, particularly in their later years, but also their families and society at large. Open Banking/Finance/Data has a massive role to play here, from correcting credit data bias to extending API scopes to include pensions and investments. Where are the opportunities and challenges?
Speakers:
- Caroline Hughes – CEO, Lifetise
- Aileen Mathieson, Global Head of Insurance, Aberdeen Standard Investments
